Paddling

Last semester I took a canoeing class and at the end of the semester we went on an overnight canoeing and camping trip. And what did I forget? My camera! I was so mad at myself the whole trip. Granted I didn't get to take my own pictures but I still have the memories and luckily I just got some pictures from another student! This trip was probably the most beautiful trips I have ever been on. We canoed across one small lake, portaged to the next lake where we then canoed to our camp spot. We basically camped right beneath the Teton peaks. The pictures do a pretty good job, but it was much more magnificent in person.

Gorgeous! He even put together a panorama photo. I love it! Make sure you click on it to see the picture big!

And there's a picture of me! We were practicing throwing the emergency throw bag.

I'm pretty sure this was the first lake that we canoed across. Right before it got super windy and we were canoeing through 3 foot waves. Fun times.

Oops!

So I changed my blog template...and it deleted all of the contents of my blog list. So if you could all comment with your blog URL address, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Photography

Since I started working at the portrait studio, I have been craving to go out to play with some portrait photography of my own. I have been learning a lot at work about posing, angles, and lighting. Unfortunately, I do not have a super duper nice camera like the studio, so I have to make due with my point-and-shoot. (Maybe Santa will bring me a sweet camera this year....ahem.) So on Saturday I took my friend Ashlee out in the freezing cold to take some pictures. Oh, and I got a goofy new hat. Haha.

And then Saturday night we made homemade pizza! Yum!
And I just want to let everyone know that I will be returning to Nampa for the winter months. So if you or if you know anyone who is looking for a cheap photographer for engagements, babies, seniors, or whatever, refer them to me! With that said, if anyone wants some family photos taken to make Christmas cards with, I will be home next week for a few days for Thanksgiving and we can take some then! Let me know!
