FroYo
So when I was in California last summer, I was told that I had to visit a FroYo (Frozen Yogurt). I never got the chance to...but now there is one in Rexburg! You grab a cup and you fill it with whatever you want! There are like 10 different yogurt flavors and lots of toppings, and at the end you just pay for how much your cup weighs. There were so many choices that I couldn't decide whether I wanted a "fruity" yogurt, or a "chocolatey" yogurt, so I put fruity on bottom and chocolatey on top. I wish I would have taken a picture of it before I ate it, but I didn't even think about it. Bummer. But this is me eating it!

Evolution of Hair
Yesterday I was browsing through the pictures on my phone. And I realized how many different hair cuts, colors, and styles I have had in the last few years. I added a few from my computer photo library to really show the multiple changes. (Sorry they aren't exactly in order.)
Today: Growing it out long again, and I just colored it really dark, also growing out the bangs.
August 2009: my natural reddish brown color, starting to grow it out.
Christmas 2008: basically black in color, really short bangs.
Fall 2007: Cut 16 inches off right after taking senior portraits.
Spring 2007: Really long, really blonde, and long bangs.
Summer of 2008: Got some bold highlights on top of dark brown.
Spring 2008: Sometime before graduation I covered the old blonde with a reddish brown.

Toesies
The other day I painted my toes. I don't do that very often, because it is just a hassle! But today was kinda boring...work, workout, sleep. Sometimes posting everyday is extremely difficult because I just didn't do anything really worth posting about...so if you have any ideas of what you would like to see on my blog, let me know!
P.S.: I hate my feet. Actually, I hate FEET. Period. I don't care if you are a foot model, your feet are still disgusting. Another reason why I don't paint my toes very often.

Sewing
For the majority of my sewing projects I try to use something from the piles and piles of leftover fabric we have sitting in the sewing room. Today I made a laptop sleeve using some polyester left over from a skirt I made a few years ago, quilt batting, some black "sweatshirt" material, and a zipper that was lying around!

Running
The triathlon is in like 2 weeks. Yikes. I am so not ready. But I've been focusing on my running lately. And my feet have issues. They are flat, so I have to get shoes that fit just right. Well, these new shoes are a change for my feet, and they are kind of painful. We will see if I can get used to them.

Cookies
A lot of my posts have been about food. Not only do I love food, but I like photographing food...maybe a crazy future career? I don't know. But food is an interesting subject to photograph because of the various colors, textures, shapes, forms, and lines. Today I made cookies, out of the Pillsbury cookie dough bucket.

Bookworm
Okay, so maybe not quite a bookworm yet...but I just read a book in 3 days. At work there is not much else to do, so I finished off "The Soloist" by Steve Lopez. I got a lot of book suggestions on my Facebook, and I am still looking into those, but B. Dalton bookstores was closing and everything was marked 50% off and it was about the only thing decent left in the store.

Daylight?
So I worked another 10 hours today. I am grateful for the hours, but so much for "easing" back into work. So since I arrived before the sun rose and left JUST as the sun was past the horizon, I didn't see any daylight. BUT this is what I saw! It was much more beautiful in person and it got quite a bit darker by the time I could even take the picture. But there ya go!

10 hours
Today was my first day back to work at the Rec Center. Ugh. Long day. 10 hours...I'm not used to that kinda thing anymore. So I'm cheating today because I forgot to take my camera with me...but I was happy to have been wearing my trusty flip flops all day. I haven't been able to wear sandals in what seems like forever, since ya know, it's cold outside! But here is a fun photo I took for my Photography class last fall, staged at Monkey Rock in Rexburg. Reminds me of summer. :)

Hmmm...
Today I tackled my bedroom. After unpacking and doing all the laundry, I never got my clothes put away. So for the last couple weeks I have been digging through piles on my floor to find the necessary clothing items I need at the time. I never really realized how many jackets/sweatshirts/hoodies I really owned. I love them. And will I quit buying them? Doubtful.

Zebra
Two photos today. Not because they are so spectacular that I have to post them, but because I don't even feel like the both of them put together is good enough to amount to one decent photo. But I didn't have any good light and really I just wanted to show off my latest of projects.
This photo/memo board used to be covered in fabric that was blue with white stars and moons all over it. Now, it has zebra print fabric! Lately I have really been into anything zebra print, I know it is kind of a trend right now too, but I have always LOVED black and white. Anyway, here it is, maybe someday I will make one of these from scratch.

Fishy
This is our purple/blue Beta fish. He has been living for over a year now! He's a trooper! And yes, I know that it is a boy because female Beta fish don't have long fins. Even though we have had him for over a year, we still haven't named him. Any ideas?
Oh and P.S.: It is extremely difficult to get a decent looking photo of a fish in a fish bowl.

Dinner
Oops!
So I took yesterday's photo but then I forgot to post it! Oops! Well here it is. Yesterday I attempted going to the gym. I walked a half a mile and ran a half a mile and thought I was going to die...and then couldn't stop coughing afterward...guess I'm not quite over the illness. But I was sure grateful for my Camelbak water bottle. Hence the inspiration for the photo.

Julie and Julia
So last night we rented Julie and Julia. I loved it. In the movie, Julie commits one year of her life to one year of cooking the entire Julia Childs cook book. I've kind of been inspired. I am going to blog a photo a day. I want to find something intriguing, beautiful, out of place, or just something I did that day to photograph and post it here. I just need you all to hold me to it. Deal?
